Portsmouth Methodist Church came into existence on 22nd April 2018 when the three Methodist societies of Copnor, Eastney and Trinity Albert Road decided to come together as one single society, sharing our skills and resources. Worship continued at the three sites until January 2022 when, due to structural problems, Copnor had to close it's doors.
In April the Church Council took the decision that Portsmouth Methodist Church would close Eastney as a place of worship, but retain the building as a community resource, all worship moving to the Trinity building in Albert Road.
